Sage 100

My client is on an old version of Mas200 4.05. They have 2 immediate issues I need help with. (besides the fact they need to upgrade) 1. The daily transaction register for all modules won't update they are getting error 105 GL_common line 0181. I could not find anything on the sage KB since the ver is so old. I tried some things on my own. I went to the dfdm and looked at the GL_detail posting and it looked normal. I exported it to excel and did not see any blank or corrupt looking records. I rebuilt the gl_detail posting and GL-accounts. I was thinking about exporting the data out of the GL_detail posing and re-initializing it then importing the data back in and posting it. (if I can't find a solution) 2. and it may be unrelated I can't use the analyze and relink file utility . I get a message no files set up for this module and company when i enter the module and company code in analyze and relink files untility. It happens for all companies and modules.

Have you tried copying the data to another company to see if it recognizes it there to rebuild?

Scott, if you click on INFO does it list a file name? you may need to rebuild key files for GL_GeneralJournalHistory table.

line 181 in GL_common in 405 is updating GL_PeriodPostingHistory ......

Error 100's are always a 'broken' file. Rebuilding the file should resolve the issue. Jeff is correct, it appears to be the GL_PeriodPostingHistory.M4T file.

fyi - analyze and relink are solely for the old style line detail files that were index files (not keyed) - GL was the first module to go to the 4.x framework where ALL files are keyed files, so that utility has no purpose in 4.x framework

Double click on your name in upper right corner (NOT the gear icon). Your ""picture"" should appear. Hover over the bottom portion of it. You should see an option to change the view.
