  • 1.  Multi-Bin and Pallet Tracking

    I have a customer that is interested in switching from Scanco\ACS multi-bin\pallet tracking to ScanForce multi-bin\pallet tracking. Anyone have a customer live on ScanForce multi-bin and pallet tracking? Which version? Pros and Cons?

    What is their interest for switching?  Scanco service/support vs. Scanforce service/support?  Grass seems greener on the other side?  Sounds like a very bumpy road ahead for you!

    We had a customer abandon Scanco MB for ScanForce MB a couple years ago (because Scanco wasn't providing an updated version to allow an upgrade, ignoring the customer and us for over a year), and the transition went OK... with ScanForce doing a lot of the data translation, but that customer doesn't use pallet tracking so I can't comment on that feature.

    ScanForce is just getting ready to release pallet tracking for their WMS products, I believe it will be out by the end of the month.  I'm sure there will be a few bumps with something new like this but we are planning to move our Scanco clients over ASAP.  Working with ScanForce is a completely opposite experience from working with Scanco - the software actually works and when there are issues they respond, work with us and every custom change isn't $5,000 and 10 weeks.  It has been a night and day breath of fresh air difference for us, feel free to email or call me if you have any questions. 

    PS - I'm not a paid spokesperson for ScanForce, just happy to work with an organization that understands the meaning of the word PARTNER.
