I think i know but would love to confirm.

When running the MRP generation, the logic is to explode BOMs to recommend make/buy actions.

Does IRP also have the ability to explode through BOMs or does it only look at the top level item (meaning either an inventory item or a BOM)?

You already know the answer, @Douglas Luchansky.  But it never hurts to ask, right?  Except in this case, where it's really painful that we no longer have that ability in IRP...​
