MRP question (for those of you non-cool kids available). I have a customer that has had MRP forever but never really used. New team and they want to import in projected demands. My question - there are a bunch of entries in projected demands. What are the ramifications (if any) if I reinitialize that file (MP2)? TIA.

MP2 just holds the projections, and MRP is basically an old fashioned calculator. If it were me, I'd make a backup of MP2 first and reinitialize it to start clean.

Used to do just that on a monthly basis with a client. Their process was create projections spreadsheet, reinit projected demands file, import new numbers, next month rinse and repeat.

If they've never used the module then the data is probably old test info. Make a copy, then clear and reinit. Have fun.
