It would be easier to have the SQL service moved. Then you just use the SQL settings utility to change where Sage looks for the SQL databases.
Carmen might have a shortcut, but I'd do a Sage 100 server install / migration, using a temp SQL server, then redirect the new Sage install to point at the old SQL instance. You need to run the migration somehow, so all the non-SQL components of the system (MAS90 folder stuff) gets copied over to the new server.
