Moving client on 4.50.7 MAS 200 to new server: WIndows 2008 R2 SP1 64bit. Have reinstalled all apps and an extended solutions. Two problems: 1) I cannot get the CS ODBC to start. Message: ""Windows could not start the Providex IO service on Local Computer. Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified"". I have tried the registry update available on the knowledgebase with zero effect. Problem 2: I cannot change the paperless office settings. No matter what I select for the PDF Directory, it changes back to the original server path in all capitals. Even if I pick a different directory on the original (old) server. Any guidance appreciated!

Wayne Schultz posted this earlier - it might help: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s1/sh/eab259b0-80e5-4958-856c-bf80765eb90c/45bb2d677ea12ba56903807cfe81539d

I'm not 100% on your paperless issue but I know I once ran into a problem where the login for the App Server/Service was a local admin which by definition did not have the ability to see other server shares -- see #1 and #2 here -- http://www.s-consult.com/2008/10/08/tips-how-to-set-up-an-application-server-in-sage-mas-200-version-4x/ Again not sure this is your issue but I ran into it once and it was a pain until I figured out (actually Alnoor explained) what was going on.

Thanks for the help. In my original install I copied and installed over the top - and yes I used the recommended procedures. I just removed and reinstalled a clean copy of MAS and both issues appear resolved. Not sure what the problem was, but it's ok now.

I do not think install over is the norm - clean install new server and then migrate from old server.
