Hello Education Committee:
Last week Anne and I discussed the structure for the sessions for MOTM 2026. Specifically, Anne talked about the balance between member led and sponsor led content as well as the desire to keep rooms relatively full with people even though we have space for multiple concurrent sessions.
A couple of ideas I threw out which could provide new opportunities for meaty content sessions include:
- Hands on sessions with sponsorship by a cloud service provider. Only so many seats provided by a Cloud@Work, Summit, GoToMyERP or SWK. This could also be done with a second sponsor like a Scanforce, Scanco, DataSelf or whomever you think appropriate and interesting to the community.
- Deep Dive sessions. Take one of the smaller rooms and have a two block session. These could be technical (like Alnoor's scripting) or functional (like my Facilitating Quality Results), industry specific (manufacturing deep dive) or third party (like Avalara Certification).
The conference will be here quicker than we think and getting an early jump along with new ideas in a new venue would be fantastic for our community.
