    Hi everyone

Here is the Agenda for the meeting today:  November Education Committee Agenda

    Keynotes:

I am posting links to our proposed keynotes below.  We are still waiting to here from Sage on the CTO Keynote - I should have an update later this week.  In the meantime:

Joanne Shea (Negotiations Collective):  Strategic Networking: Make Your Contacts Count

Jeff De Cagna:  Developing a Foresightly Perspective in The Turbulent Twenties

Simone Ajuda:  Cracking the Intrapreneur's Code: Harnessing Innovation to Adapt, Thrive and Do Better with Less

When we laid out the schedule for MOTM planning way back when, the goals were:

    Meeting Date Topic Notes
1 7/9/2024 Orientation & Branistorming - Overview of Planning Process. List potential topics and confirm meeting schedule Discuss presession topics, to charge or not to charge, what we expect from Sage and how much control we have. Discuss options for longer form workshops. Depending upon pre-conference we should expect to end up with 8-10 topics for consultant led sessions.
2 8/13/2024 Complete Brainstorming & Refine Topics. Post on Ideation Discuss how we want to handle sponsor sessions, requirements, lengths, concurrency etc. Sponsor speed dating and other ideas. Sponsor sessions can be creative such as a Cloud Service Provider supporting a hands on lab for Scanco or Scanforce.
3 9/10/2024 Review Ideation Votes & Refine Topics. Members vote on spreadsheet. Each member should place a 1 in their top 5 session topics Finalize number of longer form workshops vs. standard session lengths.
4 10/8/2024 Select topics and assign coordinators This session sets final content for meeting.
5 11/12/2024 Confirm topic descriptions and speakers and panelists With panelists confirmed, content planning and marketing can begin.
6 12/10/2024 Report on session development with speakers and panelists. Anne can begin marketing! Goal to have Sage and pre-conference sessions also confirmed by this point.
7 1/14/2025 Ensure speaker materials completed, bios and headshots gathered Session brochure and Socio app can be updated.
8 2/11/2025 Final meeting to confirm content, assignments, AV requirements, room monitoring, etc.

This puts us about 1 meeting behind schedule and my recommendation would be to assign a session coordinator to each session we plan on having to get the content generation started ASAP.

If we end up voting on the above three Keynotes, I vote for Jeff De Cagna.

I second @Brian Kelly's vote... To be more clear, I'll rank them in my order of preference (the "3 votes, 2 votes, 1 vote" concept) as I liked each for different reasons:

    • Jeff De Cagna - 3 pts
    • Simone Ahuja - 2 pts
    • Joanna Shae - 1 pt

I honestly think any of these three would be good to bring to the event, but I do think Jeff and Simone are both timely (navigating disruption) and a good fit (both smart and funny). If anyone else needs some references, I enjoyed each of these videos and the presence that they have:

I agree on @Brian Kelly and @Basil Malik choice for the keynote.  On a different note, I like Wayne's idea of having many people submit tips and tricks and then have a couple of presenters compile and present them.  I think I would need to find the presenters first and then ask people to submit directly to them vs. posting in advance on the community. Thoughts on where to have people submit their tips and tricks?

I can create a survey if that's the method we want to pursue. I use Formstack for this stuff (free for me), and can ensure all responses get funneled where we want them to go (Tina, Alnoor, me, etc.). Results could go to one person, two people, or every one.

It takes all of 5 mins to build the form once we know what fields we want on there.

@Basil Malik, I am on board with your offering :)  I envision 3 fields in the survey.

    1) Module

    2) Module Task

    3) Tip or Trick Detail

@Michele Herzog and @Basil Malik thank you very much for the ideas and suggestion!!

Basil let's go with the survey route with the 3 fields Michele mentioned. The results can go to all of us in the committee. However, let me msg Anne first and make sure she does not want to use SurveyMonkey instead as we may have a subscription to that already and she already maintains past survey results. I will let you know ASAP.

Basil - Anne wants to keep using SurveyMonkey. I sent you a separate email.

I would like to add a 4th question as I know the regulars that post and present, however maybe there is someone who would like to present that I do not know. 4) Would you be interested in presenting Tips and Tricks?

Thanks for checking, @Alnoor Cassim! Makes sense to stick with the same platform.

As for the survey itself, we've got the following:

    • Module

    • Module Task

    • Tip or Trick Detail

    • Interested in presenting?

I think - as with all surveys - I would add something along the lines of "Additional Details" that allows for further notes separate from the actual tip/trick. With that, we have a brief, 5-question survey that can be filled out in 5 mins or less (unless the consultant gets really verbose in their insights).

Any other suggestions for the survey? Time is somewhat of the essence, so if we can get this to Anne, she won't be waiting on us to get that to her for execution. :)
