  • 1.  MOTM 2023 Golf Outing

    In honor of our dear and retired friend @Bob Tobey, @Doug Higgs and I are organizing a golf outing for MOTM 2023.  We are considering Thursday 3/9 early morning or possibly mid day for if it will include more who can still travel early and are not going to the pre-conference sessions.  Spoiler alert,.. Anne is planning some really valuable content right before the opening happy hour Thursday evening, so we cannot start too late and need to be back to the hotel in time!

    Options for golf include:

    • Rancho San Joaquin in Irvine - Least expensive, played there last year, it was nice enough for hackers like me
    • Strawberry Farms - About $125 per round
    • ​Someplace else - likely ungodly expensive for a godly experience...


    Let Doug or I know if there is any interest and reply to this thread so we can plan accordingly​!

    We love it that you're joining us @Lourdes Sobrino We're looking forward to it.  I can't make the tee time until two weeks before March 9.  So I should be able to make the tee time on February 23rd.  I am hoping to be able to book it for somewhere between 9am and 10:30am which should get us done between 1:30pm and and 3pm, and then 30 minutes to get back to the hotel.

    If you are like the other females I played golf with, you will probably be in the fairway more and spend less time searching for balls in the woods after trying to crush a 300 yard drive.

    Please let me know if you would like to play golf on Thursday March 9th.  I am going to try and make a tee time at Rancho San Joaquin in Irvine starting between 9am and 10:30am.  The earliest a tee time can be made is February 23rd, two weeks before.
