Posting this here, instead of the Intacct thread because the snark level is just a bit too high for a wider audience:
I had to chuckle at the presenter comment about Sage software not stagnating. Sage Intelligence still unable to refresh newly posted data without going back and regenerating the report from scratch? How long did the upgrades to Framework take? It's 2021 and only now offering a 64-bit engine?
I know there are some great people working at Sage, diligently making exceptional efforts to improve the software, but my honest impression is that their hands are tied by upper executive management, who give every indication that they see Sage 100 customers only as a cash cow and potential up-sale opportunities.
If Sage didn't stagnate on the development front, they would never have had to buy Intacct. With the incredible depth of such a feature rich product and amazing community (users, partners, developers...), if Sage kept up with the times in terms of back end technology, Intacct would have never gotten off the ground.
