MotM 2021 General Chat

    Let's use this thread for comments we might not want to appear on the event chatbox for whatever reason.

    Several comments on the chat were less than professional. And not everyone gets the 90 Minds "snark".

    Viewing sessions:
    Only until March 10th to view sessions? That would only be 5 days? Is that wrong? Any chance this can be expanded at least for a month?

    I believe that is the plan. They will be made available for anyone registered for the session.

    Both sessions are going to be highly interactive so I wouldn't miss it counting on the recording.

    @Robert Wood

    Where can we find the links to the MOTM 2021 recordings, including the Saturday session(s)?

    Thanks!

    They are on the https://motm2021.90minds.com/ site. If you login there, you can go to the schedule. Once you go into the session, you can click the Watch on Demand link.

    Posting this here, instead of the Intacct thread because the snark level is just a bit too high for a wider audience:

    I had to chuckle at the presenter comment about Sage software not stagnating. Sage Intelligence still unable to refresh newly posted data without going back and regenerating the report from scratch? How long did the upgrades to Framework take? It's 2021 and only now offering a 64-bit engine?
    I know there are some great people working at Sage, diligently making exceptional efforts to improve the software, but my honest impression is that their hands are tied by upper executive management, who give every indication that they see Sage 100 customers only as a cash cow and potential up-sale opportunities.
    If Sage didn't stagnate on the development front, they would never have had to buy Intacct. With the incredible depth of such a feature rich product and amazing community (users, partners, developers...), if Sage kept up with the times in terms of back end technology, Intacct would have never gotten off the ground.

    I think Elliott said that Sage Intelligence isn't compatible with 64-bit Sage 100?
    If so, boy did Sage fall out of love with Sage Intelligence very quickly.

    He did. And he's said before that he is unaware of them doing anything to bring it to 64bit.

    IMHO, after sitting through a couple product demos, SEi is geared toward the X3 world, not Sage 100.  Of all my clients, only one or two are suited for SEI.  And the vast majority of the rest aren't ready for SI(gh) mainly because they don't want to invest their time to learn it.  MAS90 started withering on the vine the day Sage took ownership.  How many CEO's, CFO's, marketing initiatives, PAM's, account managers have been through the revolving door.  How many envelopes have been opened by the CEO.  It is your best friend overlooking you time after time as date material.  And every night you fork over money so they can continue their lavish unreachable dream.  The Sage presentations remind me of "Groundhog's Day".  We (Phil) wake every year around this time for MOTM conference.  Sage presents the same BS....  They hire people who believe that the dream is possible but they soon tire of the unwillingness to invest in Sage 100 and move on.  The only thing missing is Sonny and Cher.  Rinse, Repeat.
