  • 1.  More than 5 pricing steps

    In the Inventory Management module where you go to set up pricing, there look to be only 5 pricing "steps" available. Is this truly the case? We have 7 different pricing levels for our stock cases depending upon the number of cases being ordered, and I'm wondering if there is a Sage add-in to allow us to input all 7.

    For example: 

    From 1 to 5 purchased - price is $
    From 5 to 10 purchased - price is $
    ...

    Is there a way to expand these past 5 steps which I'm not seeing?

    Found this DSD enhancement - IMPC - IMPC Extended Price Codes

    IMPC Extended Price Codes for Sage 100 the number of Price Level Breaks in Item Pricing Information have been increased to 20. This enhancement is necessary for any company with more than five Price Level Breaks. IMPC facilitates the definition of 20 quantity breaks for each price code level, instead of the existing 5 breaks.

    This feature has been added to the Extended Price Code Maintenance Setup program in Inventory Management, to the Item Pricing Info screen (and Inquiry) in Item Maintenance, and to the Price Lookup Inquiry available in Sales Order and Invoice Line Entry.

    @Dan Burleson created a scripting pricing solution for a client several years back.  They had a gazillion different price levels and prices breaks.  OK, really only about 14K.  Still working today.​

    Thanks everyone. I provided the customer with the $$ of the DSD enhancement. As with a large number of customer inquiries this seemed to scratch their itch.

    Sometimes I feel like I’m on a never ending game show called “Why can’t Sage do this” and when I give the answer I don’t win any prize!

    I wrote a scripting version in 2014 that used a UDT to provide the 20 price breaks. I charged $1,200 and maintenance wasn't necessary. I rarely find a script that won't upgrade. I've also written a couple pricing enhancements since that were way too complicated. Based on something like phases of the moon. Don't ask me about doing one to price 30 egg sizes among 5 regional markets with 10 buying group discounts. Huh @Jeff Schwenk?

    @Dan Burleson is the man when it comes to scripting solutions.  He has written some pretty powerful code for numerous clients.​  Rarely has he had to tweak the code as a result of an upgrade.  a VERY popular solution has been PII query solution for payroll 2.0 users.
