Hi All

Long-time Sage100 customer has a new VP of finance.

He is looking for a monthly Sales Register to tie to the G/L ...

something like:

 

Date      Invoice#               Customer            Description         gross sales           discounts             net…

1/1/19   123456                  smith co.              20 blue shades  $1,500.00             2%                          $1,470.00

Also interested in COGS.

What is the best Sage100 report for him to use (Sage100 2015 working on getting to 2018/2019)

You will need to create a custom report using ar_invoicehistoryheader and ar_invoicehistorydetail to get this information.  The closest standard report is the AR Invoice History report, but it includes freight and sales tax in the total.  Also, your client wants to tie to the GL which uses the transaction posting date not the invoice date.

From my days as a CFO and an auditor, this is bitch report.  Too many GL accounts to balance to.  I agree with Doug.  I might even suggest an Excel query summarized via pivot table which he could refresh when ever he wanted.
