Glad we are making progress on the easy fixes.  I am so happy that @Beth Bowers went to the mattresses on the GL reversing date!  When do we start on the 2026 list?  And many thanks to you and the Mod Squad team for a job well done!

Submit your 2026 suggestions now. We will submit the list early next year but it's never too soon to start collecting them.

With respect to MS-GL257, are you referring to How to perform One-Click Journal Reversal? If so, I suggest the wording be clarified to eliminate confusion with the automatic reversal field that  exists in GL journal entries and allows for a user-specified reversal date.

@Wayne Schulz Yes, this modifies the existing functionality of the one-click G/L reversal. Here's how it's proposed to work.

    • When creating a reversal, default the date of the original entry. This will generate a new journal number.
    • If the date of the original entry falls in a closed period, default to the end date of the current period (current functionality). Expand the existing message to say that you cannot post the entry to a closed period and display the date that will be used
