Sage 100

Gut feel is lack of permissions in Role Maintenance.

I'm running into this on Sage 100 2022 PU 2 Premium

AR - Main - Sales Journal

I'd be interested in any specific information on files that might need restoring as the customer has multiple enhancements and a fistfull of addiitonal CI files that would be difficult to quickly replace without a lot of restoring.

I may have solved this. I had notes that this occurred previously for this customer.

1. In the \MAS90\LINKS folder: Renamed AR_SalesJournalUPD.PVC to STOP_AR_SALESJOURNAL_UPD.pvc
2. Copied AR_SalesJournal_upd.pvc from the \mas90\AR\
3. Seems to correct the issue

It sounds like there are records in the SY_ClassEnhancement table that point to the AR_SalesJournalUPD program.  The ClassDeveloperCode column in the table identifies the developer, which you can look up in SY_Developer.  The EnhancementCode column identifies the enhancement.  You can run the Installed Modules Listing to see if things match.

This is the second time this error has occurred. The first time I did try removing several records from SY_ClassEnhancements (related to AR_SalesJournalUPD) and that didn't resolve the problem.

I'm having this same error in PM Work Ticket Transaction Entry in v2024.1 Advanced.

The weird part is that one company code works fine, but another doesn't. I've tried all the things above with renaming the Links folder, the individual program files & replacing with regular program files. 

Any thoughts? If it was a program file, I would think all company codes would have the same error when running the journal.

If it works in one company but not another, then I would suspect either permission issue or a module option under one of the companies is responsible, however, I think you still have a root issue which could be a missing program file.

If you copy the company that doesn't work to a new company, does it work?

If not, then I would start with comparing the module options between the companies.

If enhancements are present, it can complicate things if they have their own set up screens.
