Not sure if it would be less work, however, you may consider migrating and converting again on a different computer or SQL instance, then, if successful, copy the tables to the live company. Another option would be to first upgrade to 2022 Advanced and if that works, then upgrade to 2022 premium, then copy the tables to the live instance.

Subject: Missing Checks in Check History Files after Upgrade from 2018 Standard to 2022 Premium
Been working on this and have come to the conclusion that the final Migrate just did not re-process AP_CheckHistoryHeader & Detail. For 5 of the 6 companies there are no records with a created date between the initial migration in February and the final Migrate in July when we went live. The exception is in the main company where there are a handful of test entries with May and June dates. (see below)
Very weird.
I am working on exporting the records from both versions to excel, comparing and isolating the missing ones, then reimporting into 2022. If anyone has a better idea I am open to suggestions.

I also had this problem with a Sage 2019 Advanced to Sage 2022 Premium, and I am in the middle of determining the missing checks from the AP_TransactionPaymentHistory so that I can import into the AP_CheckHistoryHeader/Detail tables. I reported it under Case 8009682240 but there was nothing that could be done for me to rebuild those missing records. I will look into the "same check numbers" scenario - I was not aware that was a possible cause so thank you for that!

@David Overholt,
Did that mean that the totals would match between the two reports but not the check count? It merged the details?

I think that Sage expanded the check numbers in 2020. I remember seeing an issue where if you have check numbers with and without leading zeros in the same bank account, they become the same check number when expanded with leading zeros to the new length.
example
check number 000555 and 555 both get populated with leading zeros and they are both 0000000555
could that explain what you are seeing maybe?
