  • 1.  Migration

    User is sharing Sage with another company (owner).  Owner is "evicting" company so user is buying a license.  Current installation has many enhancements (Scanco MB, WO efficiency, Mapadoc, Insynch, etc.)

    What is optimal way to migrate "renters" database to a vanilla install without all of the enhancement "hooks" in their database?  Would uninstalling those modules be enough?

    Uninstalling modules is always messy, especially for deeply integrated ones like MB and MAPADOC... unraveling all the details would be a nightmare.

    You might be better off doing a new company setup with data imports (module by module) instead of a direct conversion or any kind of migration.  More work (and consulting fees!) but they end up with a cleaner system.
