  • 1.  Migrating from v4.3 to v4.4. Client has been test

    Migrating from v4.3 to v4.4. Client has been testing/debugging for a couple months now. Changes have been made to the role and user maintenance in 4.4. Client now ready to go live. Normally, I will run the migration utility and just copy the company files to v4.4 one last time. But what about the paperless office index files? Aren't these files system files? And if they are, they don't get copied because I don't want to redo all the changes made to the other system files. Am I correct in this thinking? If so, how do I get the most current paperless system files over to v4.4?

    From the Google Wave notes of the MAS 90 4.40 Upgrade session back in April with Chris Powers from Sage: If you are using Paperless Office and first migrate your data to a test company - and then re-migrate the data you will be migrating back over all your system files as there is no way to selectively migrate just paperless office system files.

    Didn't Sage issue an update to this? I'm pretty sure they have instructions in the KB on how to do this -- though @RobertWood is correct that I remember them saying at first that it was impossible. I'm not 100% sure but this might be the KB that I'm thinking of. I thought we had some discussion of a workaround for this before.     Looks like it became effective with v4.4, PU3. Not sure why it wouldn't work with any version of v4.4.
