I know a couple of you reached out to me when I posted my previous article about our internal shift to Teams as a customer engagement platform.

I'm wondering how many of us in the group are playing around with other MSFT technology? This stuff is kind of amazing really.

Right now, I'm toying around with making a connector (a "Gateway") to Sage CRM databases so I can build out cool little apps with Microsoft PowerApps and do some automations with Microsoft Flow. I've been diving in to this stuff as fast as I can but the farther I go, the more I see ahead of me.

It's not quite "drag and drop" just yet.

I think many of you are far more hardcore / play around with cool things than I am and would love to hear if you are doing similar things for Sage 100?

So far, I've added tabs to some of our Teams channels to SharePoint web parts, and to the support case management / project management pages in our cloud ERP and other apps.

I'm still working out good ways to use MS Planner. Not quite there yet.
The channel connectors are designed for message feeds into Teams conversations, which I haven't found a good use for yet.

The combination of Power Apps, MS Flow, and Power BI has a lot of potential. But it is definitely not a point and click proposition.
When you think of how many of our clients are paying for Office 365 and not getting much use out of it, I smell opportunities that are a win-win.

There are some really neat things that you can do with PowerApps in building out quick pieces of functionality - including mobile stuff.

I think a smart Sage 100 partner could create a link for Sage 100 and build some powerful functions for their customers. I'm looking to do that with Sage CRM but my brain just ain't a smart as it used to be and my technical skills are not what they used to be.

I'm spending about 2 - 3 hours per day learning this stuff and playing with it so I'm hoping it will start to gel in the coming months. I feel like if I can get my arms around it, the sky is the limit with these tools.
