    This is from Bob McAdam's Twitter (link to Twitter ) . He is one of the hosts of Enterprise Software Podcast and formerly spent many years at Dynamic Communities. They held their Summit NA conference this week in Orlando ( sharing a hotel with the Sage Transform partner day event).
    I think many people had presumed this was the path that Dynamics GP was taking but my understanding is that Microsoft had never outlined it as clearly as this and the fact that Microsoft outlined it in front of customers right alongside partners.
    There are other versions of Dynamics GP which are on extended extended( Microsoft offers all manner of extended support for a price ) so I believe the "shocker" here is that Microsoft spelled out that the end of Feature Updates for Microsoft GP.
    IMO, this is largely the same thing that Sage seems to be doing for their on-prem products although we've yet to see as direct announcement.

    I am not sure that my description of Summit NA is entirely accurate as I don't know that it is a gathering of primarily Dynamics GP users. Let's leave it as "many Dynamics GP users".

    From their website:

The product tracks include Dynamics 365 F&O (AX), CE (CRM), Business Central (NAV), Dynamics GP, Dynamics SL and Power Platform and the content will focus on people considering Dynamics, new to Dynamics, migration to Dynamics and optimizing Dynamics.
