    Membership Drive questions - Can we include/extend the referral point for new consulting members to our Affiliates too? If an affiliate employee wins and they aren't attending MOTM, what should the prize structure be. Would it be better to change the consulting member prize structure from free/discounted MOTM tickets to cash like prizes, such as gift cards?

    I prefer giving stuff away that has value to the prize winner but has minimal cost to us. Hence, the waiver of MOTM fees or waiver of an annual membership. A gift card has direct expense to us and six months down the road, the recipient may not even remember who gave it to them or what they bought (or worst case, they lose or forget about the card). If they attend MOTM, the memories last a long time and connections to other members are priceless (especially if they attend karaoke night). MOTM is not your Sage Daddy's Oldsmobile! Yes, the con to this is that our MOTM cost is the per head meals/transportation charge.

    I agree @JeffSchwenk with the points you make on gift cards. If it is an affiliate employee that wins (and they might, they know lots of partners) what do you propose as the discounts? If I'm employee X and win but my boss goes to MOTM, not me, or we discount the affiliate renewal, which again goes to the company not the individual, then why would an affiliate employee participate? I'd like to see some kind of motivation for affiliate employees.

I need an approve, approve with changes, or deny from each of you. The membership drive is starting soon (9/1 to 11/18/17). If denied, please offer an alternate idea so we can come to a conclusion on this, thanks. If an Affiliate Wins 1st, 2nd or 3rd place for the total number of membership drive points they will be awarded the following instead of the MOTM ticket discounts. 1st Place - Host their social hour for the affiliate winning team value up to $500 2nd Place = Catered lunch for the Affiliate winning team up to $250 3rd Place = Amazon gift card $125 (one per office) For reference the Board okayed 1st Place MOTM ticket, 2nd Place 50% off MOTM ticket, 3rd Place 25% off MOTM ticket for Consultant Member winners. To help illustrate how the prizes may be awarded - this is an example not a predication: Consultant Member wins overall points for both referral and new consultant members - receives free MOTM ticket potential value $650-750 Affiliate Member wins the second highest amount of points for referral and new consultant members - receives catered lunch for their office potential value up to $250 Consultant Member wins the third highest amount of points for referral and new consultant members - receives 25% discount MOTM potential value to $162.50 to $187.50 Board and Exec Director excluded from the prizes for drive but are free to participate and encourage our members and affiliates.

    Refresh my memory. I know I asked in July driving through the mountains of West Virginia. What is the goal of this campaign membership wise? Five new? 10 new? Without knowing the objective, it is difficult to make an informed decision. Where are the contest rules posted? To paraphrase Jerry Mcquire, ""show me the link""! Sorry for being discombobulated. Busy summer.

    The Jun/July and July/Aug meeting recaps contain some of the information you are looking for @JeffSchwenk . The rules are simple, same we've always had for membership. Recap: Rule one certified Sage certified consultant (Sage 100, Sage 300, Sage CRM) The firm must hold certification as Sage reseller/consultant Rule two in good standing with ERP publisher Rule three apply for membership Rule four if membership offer extended, pay invoice and set up SC account Acumatica exclusive members (having no Sage products) are out at this time, I'll post a separately on that and the potential Intacct group. New member is either a new firm or a new member from an existing firm. Substitutions/change outs do not count. Points awarded: Earn 1 point for referral Earn additional 5 points for approved members that joins and pays. Goal - increase membership. If you need a number I'd say 5+, which would more than cover costs of prizes. Remember there is only one 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, unless there is a point tie. In other words, we are **not** having a 1st 2nd and 3rd for members and a 1st 2nd and 3rd for affiliates.

    Being sensitive to the impact of Harvey and now Irma, the membership drive is postponed until sometime next week or the week after. It just didn't seem right to hold a membership drive with devastating storms landing across the US.
