Meeting Thursday? Due to shortened week I thought we'd have a short 30 minute meeting on Thursday June 1st, 1:00 pm PT/2:00 pm MT/3:00 pm CT/4:00 pm ET. Hope that everyone has requested a Bloomfire community login and had a chance to review their product. We will also get an update on Social Cast features.

Since I'm probably going to be a bit late in joining the call, here were my 'Quick Thoughts' after playing with BloomFire for a bit yesterday. 1) There are some UI hiccups that are quite strange. For example, when clicking on a User's Profile, then going to Answers and clicking on one of them, it takes you back to your most Recent list, which means you can't really drill back to the original question. 2) My attempts at posting were Moderated Out (said I was in the wrong Community, when that was the only one my demo account was allowed in). That being said, creating the post was easy and attaching links, images, documents seemed easy enough (def more flexible than SocialCast). 3) The documentation that I saw did not really match the UI. This was most annoying when it was on the email letting me know my Posts were rejected and giving me directions on how to contact the moderator that were flat out impossible. 4) 'Advanced knowledge sharing features, including groups and moderation' is on BloomFire Plus at $17/u/m, so isn't that the plan we need (unless you already haggled that in the $9 plan)? 5) I wasn't really able to test the Search. Is it possible to import a snippet of SocialCast just so we can check it out?

I have a commitment this afternoon as well that may go past the start time. I also have not logged onto Bloomfire.

Understood not everyone can make every meeting. If you haven't signed up for a Bloomfire login please do so and test what is important to you. We'll have our next meeting Wednesday June 14th.

Follow-up from Bloomfire to @SteveIwanowski questions 1) There are some UI hiccups that are quite strange. For example, when clicking on a User's Profile, then going to Answers and clicking on one of them, it takes you back to your most Recent list, which means you can't really drill back to the original question. _This might've been a bug or something because I just tried and it seemed to work fine for me (taking me to the answer and original question)._ 2) My attempts at posting were Moderated Out (said I was in the wrong Community, when that was the only one my demo account was allowed in). That being said, creating the post was easy and attaching links, images, documents seemed easy enough (def more flexible than SocialCast). _Yes, again, this is our live customer community (hence why it's moderated). I believe the person moderating was under the impression that his post was spam (hence the quick rejection)._ 3) The documentation that I saw did not really match the UI. This was most annoying when it was on the email letting me know my Posts were rejected and giving me directions on how to contact the moderator that were flat out impossible. _Not sure I follow, and I would love to know more about this experience especially if it didn't work or was misleading._ 4) 'Advanced knowledge sharing features, including groups and moderation' is on BloomFire Plus at $17/u/m, so isn't that the plan we need (unless you already haggled that in the $9 plan)? _Yes, our pricing has risen steadily since the initial discussions in early 2016 as we continue to release new features all the time. I will be sharing an estimate later this week._ 5) I wasn't really able to test the Search. Is it possible to import a snippet of SocialCast just so we can check it out? _The search is only as good as the information that lives in Bloomfire, but we're unlikely to import a snippet of your SocialCast data into our Community. That said, we'll share an option for a paid proof of concept where you can take a snippet of SocialCast data and test things out._

Phil asked me to post a comment on a Bloomfire Community note to test the 'recent' listings. We found that to have the most recent comments float to the top of the Bloomfire page, you need to change the Contribution Type filter to Post. By default it looks like the most recent question is listed at the top.

Actually, that just removes the questions and series post types...doesn't solve the need for a newsreader view...May 17 post still above the one with the June 5 comment
