Meeting of the Minds update. I've spoken with Acumatica. They are committed for the PLATINUM Publisher Level. This includes 2 attendees for the entire conference (including meals, cruise, etc.) and a 30 minute dedicated time slot. [$5,000] I've spoken with xTuple. They are interested and going to get back to me on PLATINUM or GOLD Publisher Level. The GOLD level will include a 30 minute dedicated time slot but not the general conference attendance. I priced that at $3,500. Biznet also has confirmed and paid. I think you all already knew that. I was looking over the latest agenda and I noticed that we have an odd number of Vendor spots. Would you like me to do a hard press to find someone to take that open spot or should we lock it down? (@ThereseLogeais)

No because I heard from Deborah Nelson (thanks @JimWoodhead ) and she said she would like more than an hour time slot. I'm going to have to squeeze things as it is. She also said she and Mike Ritchie are talking about spending the day to hear some of the sessions. She mentioned yours/Paul's Peter and said they want to hear the feedback to take back with them. IF they only stick around on Friday, they should not rub up against Acumatica or xTuple but do we include them in the cruise as well???

My sense is we may need some room for Sage. @JimWoodhead was able to confirm Debbie, Mike Ritchie and possibly a demo for Sage 100 ERP 2015. If Sage does a Q&A, Road Ahead and Demo that may take more than the allotted session. There's some question of whether part or all of Sage's presentation would be NDA which may mean we have to figure out how to work any non-Sage people in and out of the room.

Hold up a second. Why are we letting Sage stick around for the rest of the conference? They didn't respond to that option - didn't want to pay for it. Also - we still have a logistics issue because there is an odd number of Gold Vendor Members with 30 minute sessions, right?

I think we need to be clear with Sage about what their involvement will be. My understanding is we offered them a similar deal to Acumatica and Sage was non-committal or never got back to Peter. In my mind if we invite them to speak them arrive, speak, leave. Anything more and Sage needs to have a conversation with Peter before. Sage have talked in the past about doing more together but I think they wrongly anticipate we are their unpaid sounding board. They have the wrong idea if that is so.

I agree with Wayne. They chose to not even reply to paying for a BASIC MEMBERSHIP TICKET AT $1000 (roughtly) to attend.

We need to have a consistent message. I have no problem delivering the news but I want to make sure we are all on the same page. They are coming in, doing their session, and then leaving. That's my understanding unless they pay for a Guest ticket.

@PeterWolf Sage mentioned it - I don't think anyone from 90 Minds did. At least I hope not because I think we had more than enough discussion leading up to this that if Sage was invited they would show up , present and leave unless they became a sponsor or publisher member. This is all decided an done so what Sage has in their head as maybe happening is different than reality of what will happen

Unless they are paying at least the same as Acumatica - not sure why we'd give Sage a lesser price when we deliver the same or more value for them as what we are providing Acumatica. I don't feel any need whatsoever for us to discount for Sage. If people want to have one on one ego stroke time with Sage they can go to Irvine on their own dime or they can organize their own session and invite Sage for free.

In a real sense, they already have a discount because they are doing a session without any skin in the game. I'm ok with that and I think we all voted yes on that. I'm not ok with them sticking around the entire conference though as they showed no desire to even discuss it with us.

Peter is the lead on this - please nobody else should promise Sage any additional slots or ability to attend. Let Peter work with Sage and he will report back. We don't want to have multiple people all promising things.

Well, call me confused now. Just back from Friday night date night. I saw some e-mails on the cell phone that two people are coming now for $$1025/each as guests? Doesn't that get them access both days? They get equivalent access as Acumatica who paid $5K??? Glad I am not wrangling this rodeo...

We all agreed to this for Sage. Let's not retread covered ground.

So your agreement is that they pay the two guest, stick around for the day and go on the cruise? Just trying to understand what they get to do base on your comments ABOVE - ""I'm not ok with them sticking around the entire conference though as they showed no desire to even discuss it with us."" Just trying to understand, where they are at now, not repeat/rehash/retread numerous prior conversations. Then there are your comments from an e-mail thread TODAY - And, if you or any of the other Sage team would like to stick around for the entire conference and join us for our events and dinners, we ask that you purchase a single guest pass at $1025 per individual. Personally, I think it would be great if you could be around for the meet and greet on Thu and join us for the boat cruise on Friday night. Others in the group feel would like Mike and possibly more technical resources to attend the full event."" So what is it? As I said, I am confused about what they will be doing. Or has nothing been decided? Jim opened up a couple guest tickets as contingency?

The emails from earlier today were because they hadn't ponied up for the guest passes. Now they have agreed to. We all agreed a month (more?) ago that this was the deal we were offering Sage. If they bought guest passes, they could attend the full conference. In fact, any approved guest could do the same. Not sure where the confusion lies. Maybe we can discuss via phone on Monday?

Btw... I got double super triple agreement from the admin board before I went to Sage a month or so ago. That's my frustration on this being re-opened at this time. I feel like I do my best to get approval before proceeding on these things.

We adopted this policy 12/4/14: Policy motion regarding potential members attending as guests at 90 Minds events: The group may allow a member in good standing to bring a guest - who is a qualified prospective member - to an open meeting (ex. Meeting of the Minds) provided the guest pays the full regular registration fee and meets membership requirements. Meeting guests attend only once (on a per company basis) under guest status. After attending as a guest the company they represent is expected to have enough information to decide whether to join 90 Minds. Their company may not normally send another representative again as a guest (even with a different member) without becoming a paid member. For the purposes of this policy a guest is defined as a candidate for membership to 90 Minds. It is NOT the same as a social guest (spouse) attending an after-hours event or a speaker invited to present at a session by 90 Minds. Put to a vote in Socialcast on 11-20-2014 and adopted by majority decision 12/4/14 at regularly scheduled Admin meeting.

@ThereseLogeais did you send the link over yet to Deborah and Mike for the $1025 tickets that Jim set up?

Color me confused by all of this. First Wayne wants at least five grand from Sage to attend. Sage DOESN'T want to attend at any price. they now get to attend the price of a guest. Great! But they also get a session with bonus time for the GUEST price. Sorry for the confusion. Guess I need to pay attention more.
