A healthcare provider client has switched to WorkDay and wants to archive Sage 100 SQL and Sage Fixed Assets.

The solution below is what they've elected to move their Sage solutions to.

Demo Our Healthcare Data Lifecycle Solutions | MediQuant

MediQuant has told IT department "no problem".  "Send us your databases, and you can access them in the cloud with a browser".

Does anyone have any knowledge of this service?

    TIA

If they're archiving it, then why not simply install it in the cloud, read-only? They can use either Sage reporting out or access connecting through sql.

SQL is fine for most data, but any encrypted fields would require accessing the reports / screens through the Sage client.

@Jerry Norman - Good point.  When I posed that question, it went nowhere.  They are responsible for managing the Sage 100 SQL aspect.  I'll see where this leads in a couple of months.  After all, the vendor HAS worked with Sage before.....  Smooth sailing ahead, I'm sure.

Document this like crazy with internal notes. If they come back in three / six / nine months - hire an armored car to pick up your retainer from them. Then refer to your notes and restore back to Sage 100 SQL using the license that they will have to obtain again.

Agreed.  I voiced my skepticism and doubts about this vendor being able to do.  Only the shadows knows but their IT director thinks he is better than the shadow.
