Maybe I am the last person to find this out. Any new JobOps sales (now Sage Manufacturing) is only compatible with 100c. So any existing 100 customer is required to change to 100c if they want JobOps. So, Work Order wont be ready for Premium until the end of next year at the earliest, and JobOps is no longer available to 100 customers. Basically any 100 customers that need a work order solution are screwed unless they change to subscription and in some cases perform a very expensive upgrade.

Is this true for Job Ops purchased direct? I was aware Sage 100c MFG sold though Sage was 100c only but last I'd heard users could still buy Job Ops direct for either 100 or 100c. Has that changed?

JobOps Direct Purchase is for the ""Field Service Module"" only. I do not believe you can purchase JobOps Base Module from Scanco. Only in the 100c scenario from Sage.

Customers who owned JobOps prior to the Sage Manufacturing release can still purchase users or such thru JobOps directly.

I'm sure all of this could have been made easier, but there has never been a checklist item at Sage for ""Have we considered the channel, so they are not confused?

It is difficult to understand the marketing strategy. Microsoft used to give away software to gain market share. Sage makes it difficult to purchase in many cases. The only reason I can think of to not sell Sage Manufacturing to current perpetual customers is you want to force them to change to subscription. Why not just sell the module to everyone and let the users have a good feeling / experience buying Sage products?

@DougHiggs Sage could have a ""Why Don't You . . . "" section of their website soliciting suggestions and would eventually need to devote multiple staff to dealing with the volume. Instead they just ignore us, thinking they know best.

Sage doesn't consider the warm fuzzies for partners or customers. It is all hard, cold business!
