    I have a customer looking for Inventory Matrix software for Sage 100. They are looking to store things by the size bottle that they sell - so it's only a 1 dimensional matrix. I was wondering if anyone had any experience doing something like this. I looked into IIG's but it looks like they only do Color/size. I also looked at DSD's as well (but this one keeps a master sku with associated skus). My customer is trying to keep down the number of item codes they are creating Sage 100. Note - they are using Scanco's Multi-bin and scanning warehouse functions. 

    Just thought I would check to see if anyone had any experience doing this.

    If it's just one dimension, what about lot #'s for each size, to handle inventory and cost... and deal with the pricing manually?

    They are already using lot numbers and the lot numbers can be different for each SKU made. So, I'm not 100% sure they could spare the real estate in the lot number to do this.

    Tara, How many sizes do they have?  My thoughts are using 0-9 and A-Z, giving 36 sizes, as the first character of the Lot #.  This will keep the item codes to a minimum and allow the continued use of lot #'s, without the need for an add-on.​​​​
