    Does anyone know the syntax to change the mascrw.ini file to use SOTAMAS90 as the ODBC connection instead of the newer version that spells out a long connection string?  I have an upgrade with many Crystal Reports that run outside of Sage 100 and would like to be able to automate the process, but once it is run as is, teh reports don't run properly from Crystal and I have to Set Data Source back to SOTAMAS90...

    Have you considered using DataLink Viewer?  It is really cost effective, and makes running CR (outside of Sage) much easier to manage (including quickly changing data sources).

    Since v2013 (I think) when the Crystal version changed to 2011 .NET, the Mascrcw was also changed to a .NET app and you can see that it uses connection strings instead of DSNs. I don't think changing it to a DSN will work.You could try changing it this line under [Connection Strings] to

    PVXStandard=Driver={MAS 90 4.0 ODBC Driver}

    but I doubt it would work and you may get prompted for with the Database Login for every report it converts. You could experiment with 1 report. What you probably have to do, instead assuming the version your coming from is 4.x or earlier, is rename the current mascrcw.exe and mascrcw.ini, then copy the same 2 from say a 4.50 install, then change in [Version] the Key=4.50 to 7.10 or whatever your upgrading. Now make sure you don't try to convert any Payroll reports. Assuming this all actually works, which I highly doubt, put back in the original mascrcw.exe and mascrcw.ini.

    Having said all that and knowing none of these reports are run inside the Launcher, I've actually read the material and screenshots for the DataLink Viewer and it appears like it will solve this problem faster and cheaper than you manually changing the DSNs to SOTAMAS90. I was invited to watch Ido Millet demo it but I missed the demo.
