MAS90 Std 4.50.4 - Has anyone ever encountered this bizarre scenario? All of a sudden, the enter and tab keys don't work to advance through fields in any screen in any module. The users are having to mouse click into fields. All workstations and the server. All have been rebooted. WTH?!?

Maybe try rebuilding the panels?

Check to see if they have the crypto locker virus .. this is one of the symptoms.

Oh, yeah! Crypto files all over the place. Thanks for that hint. I spoke to Sage TS and they gave me the attached KBA, but it doesn't tell me much. Plus the files I'm seeing aren't exactly the ones listed. Does anyone know how to get rid of the virus, apart from scrubbing the hard drive and reloading everything?

There could be so many things damaged, it is best to restore from backup after removing all crypto files and determining the source where the virus started (and disinfecting). Get the client's IT involved. PDF's also get damaged.

Here is what worked for me last November when my client got hit with Crypto virus. Sage 100 ERP version 4.4 PU#6. After the IT folks said that the Crypto virus was gone, I re-installed all of SAGE 100 and all modules and added the latest product update. Client was running straight SAGE 100, no customizations, or third party enhancements.

I still say it's best to restore from backup .. I have seen firsthand that Paperless documents were damaged, and I wouldn't want to take any chances with whatever else might have gotten hit.

Gotta love the Crypto virus...... I had a rash of them last summer.. Been quiet lately.

Crisis resolved. We found the point of entry and cleaned the virus from that PC and from the server. Checked all the other PCs. Restored Sage from backup. Luckily, they only lost a small amount of work. I thank you all for your advice.

Your customer is lucky they had a non-infected recent backup to restore from......and you helping them!

Non infected backup is sooooooo critical.
