MAS90 4.40. I'm trying to import new customers using the 'auto increment customer number' feature. I set the customer # in the import job to 'next' and a field that is blank. It's failing telling me the customer number is greater than 7 characters. We do not have the 'expanded customer numbers' turned on. What am I missing?

Since 4.4 the CustomerNo is always stored as 20 characters. Choosing to turn on Expanded Customers formats screens and reports to display 20 but it's always stored as 20 regardless. Having said that, I don't know if using Next in V/I will necessarily allow Auto Increment Customer Number to work. Let us know.

Interesting. Is the same true for the expanced IM number?

Sounds familiar - have you tried a live import or is this all test? Sometimes the test imports are broken/ don't validate properly.
