MAS200 v4.30 Credit Card Encryption issue - Has anyone noticed if generating a new public key affects the display of the actual credit card numbers if your user code has permissions to see the whole number on the screen? After clicking ""Change"" and ""Generate"" prior to a 2013 upgrade a couple weeks ago to resolve some conversion errors, we are no longer able to see the CC numbers in the old version, and we need to be able to obtain them somehow. There is a screenshot attached to clarify what I'm seeing. The Generate is not supposed to change my display, is it? Any thoughts or suggestions for resolving or restoring would be appreciated. Thanks!

What I think you are looking at is the credit card number encrypted. If it can't unencrypt the CC it will encrypt the encrypted card and will look like this when it unecrypts it. Last time I saw this I had to restore from backup. The issue happened when the key was different. Troubleshooting it, I think I found out that the system had a different key then what the data had. The two came from different sources which caused the error.

Todd, you restored the entire MAS90 directory, just the company files, or just the system files?

I restored the company data since the encryption was already messed up. Then compared the system key between the two and set them the same. Verified that I could see the CC number. then I used the utility to change the key.
