  • 1.  MAS200 4.50 on Win 10 Pro?

    I have a customer with an emergency. They're running MAS200 v4.50. Their entire network was viraled so they will need a new...everything. The IT company wants to know if I can install on a Win 10 Pro PC temporarily until a new server is up. I think that it would work if it was MAS90, but I'm not sure about 200. Does anyone know?

    Will v4.5 even run on a WIN 10 Install?  Nothing to do but try it.  Are you copying from a back up?  If so, have everyone run in 90 mode.

    I’m unclear which portion of this you are questioning.

    1. Is Win 10 compatible with 4.5? I think so but defer to SPM

    2. Is data from advanced backward compatible to standard so you could copy their adv data files to a standard install on a standalone computer? I believe yes ( copy/paste mas_xxx) as well as system files.

    3. Can you just copy the /MAS90 folder from backup? Yes I think so just run in stand-alone mode as Jeff suggests


    All of the above changes if you have enhancements as those may need to be reinstalled

    FYI, I was able to install MAS200 4.50 on a Win 10 Pro PC, create the service, migrate from a restored backup folder, run the workstation installs, and everything is working. I'm truly amazed.
