    MAS v4.4 - Changed the description of an account in the MAIN segment (main account maintenance). When I apply the change to the full gl account, the entire description is wiped out and only the main account description is created. Other segment descriptions are missing. Am I missing somthing? It was my expectation that when the change was applied in the segment, then entire GL account description would be recalculated using data from all segments.

    I believe it only uses the ""short"" description in each segment.

    Aha, that is what I thought also. But I also ""assumed"" that the client had all the short descriptions filled it. They didn't. So when I looked at the results, only the main description changed and all else was blank. Scrolling down the ALE list, I did finally see where it was working........ Thanks

    Final note from the help files. Mass update does not work if you have overridden the description in the account maintenance table. NOTE If you selected to apply a description change, the change is applied only to accounts that contain the main account's original description. For example, if you changed an account's description in Account Maintenance, the Apply feature will not override the modified description.
