MAS Intelligence question: A customer wants to alter the income statement to show profitability of service separately from profitability of product sales. Can I add in lines in Excel template within the account listing, or will that screw up the totaling (ie add my subtotals into the overall total again). I also fear this will be rather fragile if they add accounts, but maybe I am being paranoid about the wrong things... Pointers to actually useful docs gratefully accepted - the intro courses don't count.

I would think you should be able to modify the financial template and accomplish what you need to do but I can't play with it at the moment - actually the next week or so I'll be pretty swamped. I do have all of the manuals, I believe in pdf form - including the financial class (which I haven't yet taken). They are useful docs - but not sure what the 90 Minds policy is on sharing those....

Are you using the Designer or are you doing this in the ""free"" financials?

I was hoping to tweak one of the built in financials. I have figured out how to do subtotals that don't interfere with the main totals, but I am not sure about how to do the actual profitability of certain subgroups in a way that doesn't look really clunky (like having them after the grand totals).
