    MAS has stopped working"" in 4.30 SU20 - not finding anything helpful on KB - most relate to printing to PDF, which client is not doing. This is on a new Win 7 machine. Anyone seen this and have a hint that does not have to do with Paperless? (This happens during SO Register.)

    When you say ""stopped working"" what does that mean? Uninstall. Login as the administrator (not as the person who the IT person tells you has administrative rights) and re-run workstation setup. IF still problems try right click ""run as admin"" on the icon. Other users are presumably able to get in or I'm sure you'd be focussing on something like SY0CTCL

    Ok - just for clarification I know what ""stopped working means"" -- but does it crash to desktop when you click the icon, do you get in until a certain task is performed, does it just freeze after you get it, does it happen only to this new Win 7 computer? When the Win 7 computer freezes is everyone done or just that machine?

    I'm not saying ""stopped working"" as in MAS stopped working. I'm saying ""stopped working"" as in ""MAS has stopped working"" is the actual message that the client gets. It says those exact words. (And those are on the KB, but again, mostly with Paperless, which isn't an issue here.) Just her machine. I'll have her try the run as admin - also, AV is on her machine and I'm waiitng on the IT guy to fix it, so hopefully it might be the problem.

    My first step would be uninstall. Login with user administrator to the network (not the admin's twin brother who should have rights). Reinstall. Run MAS while logged in to network as user administrator.

    Sounds vaguely familiar as an issue with WIN 7 being dropped as a network connection. There was a big post on the community about this. Not sure if it was ever resolved. Is it a 32 or 64 bit WiN OS? Wayne had some postings about it. My WIN 7 64 kept dropping the MAS 90 network so I quit using it. I RDP over to the server when running MAS 90.     The issue that I saw with Win 7 had to do with a very distinct error message about not being able to find a file. In that case having the client log out at the end of the day cured the issue.
