Not sure if this will help, but I just looked into some ""unwanted"" states printing on a client's quarterly governmental report (unemployment). The SUI state was entered in employee maintenance now, but I was able to see that their SUI state had been blank in their 2012 backup. So with a blank SUI state, when the state is changed in payroll data entry this is the state that unemployment wages are reported in. They ended up with a few employees showing wages and unemployment in several states since they worked in and had state withholding in multiple states. Obviously someone noticed and entered the proper SUI state, but not until several payroll entries had been processed in 2013, causing the additional states to print on their first quarter report.
