MAS 90 v4.4.10 - Copied MAS folder to a new server (WIN 2008 R2 Standard) over the weekend. Ran the workstation install at the server. Did NOT run the DVD installation on the server so there are no registery keys installed. Getting an error 200 program program sy_reportcopmmon.pvc line 596 when previewing a Crystal report AT the server. Not sure of the effect at the workstation yet. A search of the KB seems to indicate a DLL registratin. Will be installing Crystal Designer on the server later today. Thoughts?

When you install did you install as admin (right click - run as)? User rights would be my first guess since there's little else with a fresh copy/paste that hopefully goes wrong.

Actually, I did not do that as I was logged on as the administrator. What a PITA to have to remember all this crap......... Thanks

Jeff - that error would indicate the report engine object did not instantiate for some reason... you may be onto something with Crystal not installed on the server, though you would think wkstn setup would install all that needs installed... Looks like you are going to try a reinstall forcing admin, let me know how it goes. If no joy, I would try installing crystal next.

Wayne gets the hero award for this issue. I reinstalled wksetup by right clicking and running as the administrator. Simple things for simpler minds. Thanks Wayne.

The bigger picture question is why doesn't Sage trap for this type of error? Maybe their new updated installer will help on future upgrades.

Has anyone posted this suggestion on the Idea Web site so Lori can put on her list of great ideas to consider one day?
