MAS 200 v4.3. The batch control fields in SO Options is missing. The control for batch processing doesn't appear to be in the SO options file as there is no field there for batch information. I looked at the batch master file in the \systems folder but that didn't shed any clues. If I look in the company that I set up early this week by copying current company files to it, the batch information appears in the SO options panel. Some background. Company was recently sold. They wanted to keep the MAS intact but wanted to reset their GL to Zero. So instead of reinitializing certain GL tables, I set up a new company and created the GL folder by copying the GL structure from the old company. Next I created a copy of the newly created GL folder. Then I copied the old co data to newly created mas company via the mas utility. Still following??? Then I swapped the two GL folders and copied the NEWco GL back to the oldco folder via the utility to that they had a blank GL canvass with all the other modules still reflecting historic information. Biggest problem I ran into before today was the GL account key gets recreated in GL Account which messes up everything. But I fixed that. Now the issue is the batch field which by the way is missing in every modules set up options.. Thoughts???? Does anyone know where the master batch control file is???

I believe the Batch information in the system is stored in the GL files.

Ah, crap, I ran into ths somewhere sort of recently. Seems to me like I went into the SO Options file in DFDM and turned the batches on there and then the fields appeared on the screen?

I've had this happen before - years ago, so i don't remember all of the details. But in SY_Module it stores the Module code and a field 20 - ""AllowBatches"" - you may have to set this to Y for it to show up, also may try running the custom office panel update utility

GL_CompanyBatchOptions is the file. You are missing a GL record in there. This file controls the options for all modules, not just GL.

Same client, similar issue now. Their memo's are not appearing in the old company. Is the memo control table also in GL???

Resolution: Expand Library Master/ Utilities/ and select Data File Display and Maintenance. Select GL_CompanyBatchOptions.M4T Verify the B/M01 record exists and looks correct. If the record is missing, create a new B/M01 record from and existing record. Do NOT delete the original record.

I should have generalized the response to Sales Order. This was solution for a B/M Batch record missing. A more accurate response would be to create the Modules missing batch record from and existing record. Oops.

I have seen this happen when you copy over a GL company from company that doesn't have all the modules in question activated. i/e the GL_companyBatchOptions.m4t is empty. .
