MAS 200 4.40.0.6. A client recently renumbered a number of customers into a new division. One customer is available in Customer Maintenance/Inquiry and everything is fine there; however, when you attempt to enter an order in SO, it asks if it is a new customer. When you say no, the screen is populated with some of the customers information and the customer number field is blank. Sorts have been rebuilt for AR and SO and the Customer's record and invoices seem fine. Anyone have any ideas?

Is there a duplicate/corrupt record in AR_Customer? I had a similar issue with item numbers, only one appeared in inventory inquiry but when they tried to use the item they received ""is this a new item"". When I viewed in DFDM I found two, deleted one and the issue was resolved.

Thanks for the Reply. I have searched with DFDM and can't find a duplicate, even in another division. Earlier, I had rebuilt the AR_Customer keys and AR sorts and that didn't help either.

I'm not sure it's related but I've had problems where there was a space at the front of the customer number which wasn't obvious when you looked at it.

Did you search on Atlas. I seem to remember something about this.

Thanks, Ron. I went looking for spaces and found none. While in dfdm, I noticed the customer had 000 in their Ship To address. I checked and there was no Ship To address for this customer. I removed the 000 from the Ship To field and now it allows a Sales Order to be entered. I went to the SO_ShipToAddress.M4t file and found the customer's 4 ship to addresses were still in the original division. Edited those records to reflect the new division and put 000 back in as the primary and things seem to be OK. Never would have thought that an unfound ship to address would kill a sales order entry. John, I looked at both the Partner Portal and InfoSource, but that doesn't mean it's not there. I have a lot to learn about searching. The last four searches I did on the portal for other issues all returned zero articles.
