    Hello Membership Team! 

    I wanted to share questions that have already materialized in other committees or discussions as we prepare this survey.  I am hoping this group will provide some ideas as to questions we can ask as well.  This would be more of an audience/market research survey rather than a membership survey.  It would be something I would like to hopefully share the results with the members. 

    What are good objectives to have with this survey?

    Objectives (Please feel free to add)

    • Anne:  I personally would like to know what is going on 
    • Get some immediate data on what partners are experiencing in their practices and firms
    • Help develop strategies with the consultants to support their practices
    • Collecting data to support additional training or guidance

    Draft Questions for Consideration: 

    1. What percentage of your practice is Sage 100, Acumatica, Intacct, etc. 
    2. Have you acquired any new Sage 100 Customers in the past 24 months?
    3. How many?
    4. Have you transitioned any clients to Intacct in the past year?
    5. How many?
    6. What makes it the right time to move from SAGE 100 to Intacct/Cloud-based ERP?
    These are just the start.  I would love to open this up to the group for further discussion and more questions before our next meeting.

    I think the objectives of the survey are:
    1. Ensure we understand state of current members and their practices with respect to products and services
    2. Determine what 90 Minds can do to better support the needs of members
    3. Identify services 90 Minds can provide to retain and attract members
    Publishers and pundits make a lot of assumptions about what partners and customers want or position customer needs based upon what they want for their business.  We want to gather data from and for our members for better decision making for the organization and our members.

    Draft Questions for Consideration can be broken into sections:

    Practice Status - The market has been evolving with many partners changing business models.  How is this impacting our members?
    1. What ERP packages do you currently support? (multi-choice or free form)
      • Of those packages what percentage of your revenue is Sage 100, Acumatica, Intacct, NetSuite, other. 
      • Which practice area is generating the most new business?
      • Are you considering adding an additional package to your portfolio in 2023?
    2. What percentage of your revenue is product sales vs. consulting services
    3. Do you offer services on time and materials, fixed fee, value, subscription or other (multichoice)
      • If you offer a mix of billing methods what is the current percentage of your billing by method?
      • Do you have any plans to introduce or increase value or subscription based pricing?
      • Have any customers asked about alternate pricing from traditional time and materials?
    4. Do you offer on-premise, cloud deployment or both?
      • Of your current client base what percentage is on-premise vs. cloud
      • For new sales, what percentage is on-premise vs. cloud
    5. How many consultants are in your practice?  (Needed to analyze results by firm size)

    Sage 100 Practice -  MAS90 is our roots and Sage 100 has been our dominant product, but is no longer a leading product for Sage or in the market.
    1. Have you acquired any new Sage 100 Customers in the past 24 months?
      • How many?
    2. Have you become Sage Intacct authorized?
      • If yes, have you transitioned Sage 100 customers Sage Intacct in the past year?  How many?
      • If not, do you work with a Sage Intacct partner?
      • Have any Sage 100 customers asked you about Sage Intacct or cloud based ERP alternatives?
    3. What would makes it the right time or conditions to consider moving a customer from SAGE 100 to Sage Intacct?
    4. Do you host or work with a cloud service provider for Sage100 Cloud?
      • If you host, how many customers do you have in your data center(s)?
      • If you work with a provider, do you work with one or multiple providers? 
      • Have any customers asked you about moving their Sage 100 to the cloud this year

    Forward Looking Questions It is not enough to know where we have been and are now.  We need to know where our members are going to best meet their needs.
    1. Have you lost Sage 100 customers to cloud based ERP systems such as NetSuite, Acumatica or Sage Intacct in the past year?
      • If yes, what were the customer's primary reasons for change?
      • Do you think customers are at risk of loss due to "popularity" and advertising for cloud technology in 2023?
    2. What is your strategy for retaining your existing Sage 100 customers in 2023 (choose all that apply):
      • Deepen relationship through expanded services 
      • Adding third party or customizations to make system more functional
      • Offering a long term subscription for software and services
      • Migrating them to an alternate product
      • Hope and prayer
      • Other ______________________
