The client turned on the option to allow users to enter Lot serial information during Sales Order entry. But they have users that put the initial orders in without knowing the serial numbers. Later after production is run, another user will assign the serial numbers by going back and editing the order in Sales Order Entry. This allows them to print a picking sheet with serial numbers for the warehouse to use when shipping the items.
Their sales orders have 50-100 lines on each order. With the option turned on, every time they enter a new line on the order the distribution window pops up. The user then has to close the window and answer NO to the question "distribution is out of balance Delete the line" that is REALLY slowing down the whole process; especially if they accidentally hit YES and delete the line. (I think they will quickly learn not do that.)
Am I missing something? is there a way to turn that pop-up off? Either by user or for all users? I've looked in role maintenace and SO Settings. It would be easier for the person editing the order later to have to click on the distribution box so even if it is all or nothing option, it will help.
The client asked me to write a modification, but before I go too far down that path, I'm hoping maybe there is a setting that I'm missing.
