Sage News and Discussion

Looks as if the new consolidated Sage Communities and Blogs (aka Sage City Community) have begun appearing online. From what I can tell this is mostly a platform switch from the prior community and it consolidates all the separate areas into one. Sage have spoken a little about this on their Sage Summit 2013 webinars. This will probably be easier to maintain but I don't know if Sage will make more of a commitment to participate here than they did on the old community sites. Admittedly I did not vist the older community site very often but it appeared to be mostly a place where IT people upgrading their companies dropped in to ask technical questions. Sage seems to participate at some level as I've seen accounts marked as Sage employees answer questions and on some cases they've posted early information about product fixes, etc. Similarly Sage employees blogged although very irregularly on the older site. The old community is clumsy to use. It's not laid to encourage ""see what's new here"" visits by normal users. This new format is encouraging. The organization by Business Communities matches the Sage City org at Summit. It is promising. Sage needs to up its game in this sort of thing if it really wants to get customers to see what else is out there that they can use. We'll see if this goes far enough....
