Looks as if Acumatica is just going to renew affiliate membership and buy two tickets (total outlay of $5,000). We had a discussion yesterday about whether we were going to have any road ahead type session that we might invite xTuple and Acumatica to present at. I think one of the ""stumbling"" blocks to inviting them to present (free) was we were thinking Acumatica was paying to sponsor (which I don't think is the case). So, looks as if neither would be paid speaking sponsors. I think it would be helpful to members to hear from them both. If we alloted 30 minutes each for them to give an update I think it would be a nice takeaway for the membership and something that's above and beyond what members could get at Sage Summit. I do think that many members look at the agenda and we are indeed competing with other events so we should be looking at unique sessions that people cannot get anywhere else.

I agree with your thinking on this. ""Road Ahead"" sessions have potential to be good outlines of not only how these packages differ, but how they see customer needs evolving. I would suggest that any RA presentation come from a vendor who is a paid affiliate, especially for the 2nd year.

I'll back this too. It's a great way for members (those ready to pick up another product, those on the fence, and those hanging on with Sage) to contrast some of the options available.

If you look at the agenda I posted yesterday, both Acumatica and xTuple have 30 minute sessions.

The only reason I posted this update was because during the conference call yesterday there appeared to: a. Be confusion on if Acumatica had paid to speak b. Whether we were going to allocation a slot to xtuple and Acumatica My apologies in advance for my misunderstanding

I think our understanding was that we would give all three - Acumatica, xTuple and Sage - free Road Ahead sessions but they would still need to pay for attendees, i.e. $1,500 each.

This post sharpened some thinking for me.
