Looking for someone who's already invented this wheel. I want the magento website collecting CC information to talk to Sage Exchange and assign a CC ID number, which we'll send to Sage 100 along with the Sales Order (over eBridge). **Then when we ship, that's when we want to charge that CC**. Make sense? eBridge has never been asked to make it work this way, I guess?? We have something called Sage Payment Interconnector, for what that's worth, but my follow up question is: Does anyone have a Sage Payments contact who is technical on this kind of stuff? Sage 100 Adv will be 2015 or 2106 by the time we turn that on. Incidentally, we don't care who processes the CC, Sage or the website's processor. Well. I guess _we_ have a preference, but the customer doesn't. If the answer is super involved, we'll pay for your time, of course.

I have implemented Website -> process CC as 'sale' -> import via InSynch -> Sage 100. To make that a pre-auth would require the gateway to process it that way (have all sales tax and freight re-calculated exactly matching the website as it imports into Sage 100). I know Authorize.net and USA e-pay are two gateways that can send the 'sale' to Sage Payments. Not sure whether they also send pre-auths to Sage Payments. But that way if Sage Payments knew about the pre-auth you would be able to post-auth it when it ships through Sage 100. I have heard (though never used) that Direct Connect www.directconnectpcs.com has the ability to extend the pre-auth to 30 days. Important if you have any backorders. Outside of that, I would check with Bob Richter (ROI Consulting) and/or Website Pipeline.
