looking for some recommendations for a Point of Sale System. Client is coming old Hightower POS system.

We have completed 2 Fusion POS implementations and are getting ready to start our 3rd. Michelle Taylor from the Oasis team was them PM on the implementations, so I'll ask her to share her experiences. Both clients are happy with the product.

It was my understanding that FusionRMS had taken over all support of the Hightower POS customers and perhaps provides upgrade paths and incentives to the Fusion software.

We take the same stance on Point of Sale that we do with reporting tools: there are some that we prefer but we'll let the customer make the selection rather than push them into a choice that they may later hold us accountable for. In our last POS opportunity, we introduced AccuPOS, FusionRMS, and POSitive RM. FusionRMS didn't make it past the customers first pass and AccuPOS didn't give the quality demo that POSitive RM did. The customer selected POSitive RM, got the solution they needed, and we avoided undue risk. Thank you for allowing me to provide an answer outside the intention of the question while still giving three choices.

@AngieMarquez As Pam mentioned, we've upgraded 2 Hightower POS clients to FusionRMS. Like John mentioned FusionRMS did have incentives for Hightower POS users, yet can't speak to current offers. There are some functionality differences that were fairly easy to address, the exception relates to Sales Tax, specifically customers that have exemptions. I worked more with their implementation team, a pleasure throughout the process, very knowledgeable and responsive.

1000% agree with @BrianRice approach. Give the options and let the customer pick. Otherwise you may never hear the end of ""that POS you recommended""...

Our clients were given options and did see demos of 2 to 3 products and they made the decision to go with Fusion. We have another client that chose to go with the IIG product and we are finishing that implementation at this time.

@BrianRice -do you have contacts for PositiveRM? if i remember correctly, we had a client that tried AccuPos and it did not go well, not sure if i want to through them in the hopper
