Tom Bittner used to run the show there - or at least he was the VAR contact person. He has since left - first for Accumatica and now he is at another shipping company.
I had a Starship customer look at Smartlinc mostly because they grew tired of the upgrade hassle and attitude of Starship.
This was when Sage was offering Smartlinc as an Endorsed Solution. They no longer endorse Smartlinc and Smartlinc has since been acquired by another company that I think is in the printing business.
That being said.
The software looked good. I think Smartlinc demoed twice for 90 Minds. The issue was always cost. When they quoted to migrate Starship to Smartlinc the quote was in the $15,000 range. For my end user the pain just wasn't sufficient.
In short - at the time the product looked good but the price was too high. Today I'm not sure I'd be looking at Smartlinc due to their acquisition by what appears to be a somewhat unrelated company.
