Looking for help with **SDI/TDI tax w/h (Disability) on W-2's for Rhode Island** employees. It's not printing in Box 14 as expected (and it also doesn't show in the grid leading up to the W-2's generation). For a different company however, it is printing correctly for CA in boxes 19 & 20 (although it's my understanding this can alternatively be printed in Box 14). In both cases the Disability item is present on the 'State & Local Tax Items' screen in the Aatrix wizard, and the employees do in fact have SDI YTD data. I've already spoken with Aatrix and they didn't have an immediate answer; they'd need to remote in and take a look.

Have you entered the Codes for Box 14 in the initial Federal eFiling & Reporting screen?

Or, are you meaning that the amounts calculated from the Tax Table isn't appearing?

Thanks, @MichelleTaylor. I considered those box 14 fields in Aatrix, but it's the employee SDI tax withheld that's not printing.

My only thought is that the mapping is missing. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of experience with Employee SDI. Am interested to know how it is resolved!

Aatrix is currently remoted in. No answer yet.

Aatrix said that at some point in the past they updated their software (per information from RI) to not print SDI/TDI on the W-2's (don't know how long ago this was though). So they are contacting RI to find out if in fact this information needs to print on the W-2's, and if so, in which box(es). The client wants to wait and hear what Aatrix comes back with in a couple days because the client prefers to install the program fix (if applicable) vs. manually entering the missing data (which is only about 50 of the 850 records). We know that we can simply create the missing column in the Aatrix grid/layout, but we can't just use the import/copy-paste feature for that column because we'd have to spend some time massaging the Excel file that has the needed data so that it matches the records in Aatrix. CA SDI wasn't printing on the Califormia W2 either? Any answers yet?

Hmm ..not in my case!!

We have one multi-company client where at least one company did not print CA SDI. We had not installed the IRD or PU. So we did and voila, it appeared. @BarbaraGoldstein can confirm but I think they are on 2014.

_**Resolution:**_ I just found out from Aatrix that RI SDI is being fixed so that it prints correctly on the W-2's. Currently it doesn't print at all. They expect it to be available via an Aatrix Update either Tue or Wed next week (after 1p ET), although there's a slight chance it may be available by tomorrow/Sat afternoon. (fyi, @MichelleTaylor)

_**Update to the RI SDI resolution:**_ RI SDI is fixed and has been pushed out via an Aatrix Update. However, when the list of what's contained in the Update appears on screen during the Update process, this fix is not included in ""Rhode Island""; it's part of the ""Program Updates"". It's a little misleading because you likely will see a bunch of states listed but not RI as expected. Also note that if you've already completed the W-2's (i.e., work ""in process""), Aatrix won't pick up the new RI SDI data. You either need to start new or have Aatrix remote in to help salvage your existing work. I was also told it populates boxes 18-20, not box 14 as expected but it's our understanding it's acceptable in either spot, especially since it should say ""SDI"" on the W-2. (fyi, @MichelleTaylor)
