Looking at moving Sage 100 Advanced 2016 to a TS running on AWS ... It seems that servers running on AWS are not provided with a system console and I am wondering if that is going to bite me... Not exactly sure how to install and setup the host w/o console or if that is even an issue. Has anyone been down this path with AWS and Sage 100? Discussion is welcome! Also curious how satisfied you are with the move to AWS... Thanks

We have many customers on Sage 100 and AWS. We use the one server as both the application server and ""TS"". We allow the users the choice to either log into a desktop and launch MAS from there OR they can run MAS as a remote application. We are very satisfied with the results.

@Cooper Black  I have a customer inquiring about running Sage 100 on AWS.   Is printing an issue since Crystal forms are rendered on the local computer?  Is Sage 100 Standard preferred because users use remote desktop?   Is there anything out of the ordinary I need to be aware of?

You may want to have the users connect in 'MAS 90 Mode' to avoid the extra overhead of the application server processes.

Steve, the current thinking is to set up 3 servers, (maybe 4 with the backup DC)... A DC, a Sage 100 server, and a TS. Connection to the TS from Mac workstations executing the Sage workstation as a 'Published App' so they never see a TS desktop. The Sage server would either run as an application or as a service... they would feel more comfortable running it as an application because that is how they do it now, but as a service has some appeal too. Q1 of 2019 is going to be interesting!!!!

Oh, sorry, I thought you meant Sage would be running directly on the TS. We have a similar setup in Azure (2 DCs, 1 Sage/SQL, 2 RDS, 1 FS/Desktop Controller) that works well.
