Looking at a flyer about Sage Payments and noticed it said the following: All payments auto post to Sage 100 cash receipts. All points and types of payment post automatically, eliminating the time-consuming manual entry that causes a lag in your cash flow. Sell anywhere, sync instantly. Has anyone set this up? I know they had something like this with the Sage Bill Pay but it had an install for it and it would go get the data and enter cash receipts. This flyer makes it sound like it is now part of the base Sage Payments that it will go out and get the data to post in Cash Receipts for anything that goes through them. It could be the web, Sage 100, or Mobile payments. Maybe I was in a cave somewhere but I didn't think this existed yet.

We've had previous discussions on this in SC (ibnlt @WayneSchulz), and the results appear to be in line with how Sage operates, i.e. advertising/promising things before it's actually available - along with no one at Sage, even Product Development, having much info.

So it doesn't exist, right? I talked to Sage Payments and they said it did and they would send me info about it. That was 6 hours ago and so far no email. Were the previous discussions about this specific case or just in general about how Sage operates?

(How would a transaction outside of Sage 100 align with a customer, let alone an invoice...)?

I believe the conversation that Brett and I were having regarding Payment Center was during June 2016 largely centered around this Sage KB article https://support.na.sage.com/selfservice/viewdocument.do?noCount=true&externalId=74679&sliceId=1&cmd=displayKC&dialogID=35966&docType=kc&isLoadPublishedVer=&stateId=35968&docTypeID=DT_Article&ViewedDocsListHelper=com.kanisa.apps.common.BaseViewedDocsListHelperImpl Note: "" Note: Any transactions processed in the Payment Center will **not** write back to Sage 100."" So far as I recall from forwarded emails - Sage asserted that what they were really talking about (at the time) was Invoice Payment and Presentment which so far as we could tell was some type of mobile or web app which accepted payments into Sage 100. It took Sage QUITE a while (many emails) to eventually explain this and they did a very poor job. I was left with the impression that it's not sold or used much. IIRC, Sage had something on a roadmap that talked about this type of functionality but I have not seen or heard anything more and the KB article linked above (dated 6/15/16) doesn't make it seem like Sage Payment Center does much of anything. My .02: Sage marketing got way ahead of Sage development in many areas. Two of them are Sage 100c and Sage Payment Center. Marketing kept advertising the heck of things that either weren't shipping or had minimal/no value. It's possibly that the above had changed and we'll hear something different from Sage at MOTM since the last substantive conversation I recall about Sage Payment Center was June 2016.

Here is a link to the KB for Payment Center. I haven't found anything that's terribly useful. Sage seems to keep a lot of things vague so that they more easily defend when something isn't working. https://support.sagepayments.com/link/portal/20000/20000/ArticleFolder/478/Payment-Center

This was the flyer that I was talking about. I didn't see anywhere on the flyer it say that this was specific to Sage Payments Center. It all appeared to be a flyer for Sage Payments integrated with Sage 100. It wasn't until I attached the pdf to this message that I realized the name of the PDF is Sage Payment Center On Pager 100. So this was all for the Sage Payments Center. So they have no material about using Sage Payments with Sage 100. Only the KB about how it is setup. And they wonder why Sage Payments isn't doing so well now.

Emailing an invoice with a ""pay it now"" link, and the payment auto importing to CR... that would be something which would sell itself. How many years until Sage provides that offering?

More importantly, how many years until it works?

Sage did sell it - I guess nobody bought it because it was discontinued. DSD sells something similar as Terms On Time. I think the hidden ""why wouldn't someone adopt this immediately?"" is that so far as I'm aware both solutions require(d) that you switch payment processors. In some cases, users have existing relationships with banks or they don't want to go through the process of showing their statements to a new processor, getting a quote, switching, then having to play ""check your statement"" for the invariable increase in processing cost somewhere in year 2+

It sounded like that is back now. I called Sage Payments and he said that with the integration with Sage that it will create the cash receipt. He didn't say it was with the Center software. Guess he is reading the same thing I found. I asked for docs on how to set it up and how it works and he said he would send it but 24 hours later and still nothing. He then said they had a new system that even sends emails to the customer for them to pay. Which I asked if it was the same Billing payment that they discontinued and he said this was new.

Looks like the invoice is not the Sage 100 Crystal Reports forms, but something in the cloud. That would be a deal breaker for some customers with heavily modified forms.

@BrettZimmerman went through a similar process of asking questions via email to Sage. I believe their strategy was to send so many generic replies that we would eventually get tired of asking for specifics. And if that doesn't work they pass you off to someone else via cc: on the email.

Wow, Sage is still being so vague about this, i.e. being able to accept credit card payments anywhere and have it automatically feed into Sage 100.  I'll get with Ray from Sage (ISV dept) to drill down, and will post what I find out.  Linda did mention 'click to pay' in 2019.1 (or maybe she said pu2).

VIP is a Paya reseller, and they said it's not there and they had no official date beyond what we keep hearing from Sage/Paya.  Soon.  Soon.  Practically here.

APS has ClickToPay and there is a button in Cash Receipts entry where you click on it to bring any payments processed on the portal to import into Cash Receipts very neatly. If no payments have been processed, you get a message saying there are no payments (or some such thing).

As most know, APS does this (except you do have to select to post the CR). It's well documented. The folks at ASI did the interface and are able to assist with any technical issues.

I put this in about 1.5 years ago for a very unsophisticated customer and they've run it with no problems.

APS sent me to manual, I installed their solution then we connected for about 30-45 minutes of training.

I'm not sure what value add Paya may eventually bring to the table.

Users with DSD Multi-Currency, wait to implement ASI / APS click-to-pay... until a recently discovered incompatibility is fixed.  (Should be soon... last I heard it was in testing).

Although I'm still trying to get further information on the ability to "accept credit card payments anywhere and have it automatically feed into Sage 100", the recent 3/5 Sage 100 Road Ahead doc (page 15) shows that eInvoicing is coming with the v2019.1 release (below).
