Long time user of PR and JC is exploring outsourcing PR. If they do this, will they have to do two imports - one to post into the GL and the other to post into JC? I am thinking yes, but want to verify before saying anything. Any JC experts out there running without the PR module?

If you import into JC, you can have it post to GL from there.

The issues I've had with this in the past is getting the company doing the payroll to supply all of the required information for the imports.

@MichelleTaylor1 is the import to JC going to take into account the bonus checks, taxes, garnishments, HI, etc? I was thinking he'll need 2 imports but yet make sure nothing is duplicated. May need a clearing account for the direct labor going into JC.

@NancyHanson If the pay amounts aren't being applied to a job, they will need to go directly to the GL.

I have a client doing this. the PR company creates the export files and we have one job that imports GL and another that updates JC. they have been doing this for about a year.

I agree with 2 imports. It just keeps things cleaner for the non-job related items in payroll.
