  • 1.  Limiting on-hand computation to certain warehouses

    I have a customer 2018 Premium inquiring about whether there's a way to limit the display of on-hand quantities available to only show those from certain warehouses. 


    For example,

    000 - Regular warehouse
    001 - RMA receiving ( good shipped back to them )
    002 - Received / not yet inspected

    In the above case, they want their customer service to only view the 000 as true "on-hand" and only be able to ship from 000.

    Maybe I'm overlooking something simple?

    This may be a multi-bin feature - have you looked into that ?

    That was my first suggestion to them, however, I haven't looked at the manual yet.

    Limit the display where?  On-hand / available quantities show up many places.
    SO Entry values should be warehouse specific.

    You've hit on one of this customer's problems. They don't light to sit down first and develop a plan.
    I think what they want to do is define which warehouses are "shipping" warehouses

    Script set the warehouse to 000 (header / line), except if the user has a specific role (to filter permission on warehouse overrides).
