  • 1.  Life insurance in cafeteria plan

I have a client that offers life insurance as part of the cafeteria plan and they are telling me that this should not reduce FICA like the other cafeteria plan deductions.  Does anyone know what tax code should be assigned to this deduction? Thanks

I used tax code -00000 in v2020.  Seems to work.  Not sure why client set it up as a cafeteria benefit.

Thanks Jeff. It looks like this will not reduce Federal and State wages either. I am trying to find a rule that will reduce Federal and State wages but not FICA.    Thanks!

Try the S-Corp Health one.  it depends how you want SUTA and FUTA treated.  The S-Corp Hlth is exempt from FICA/Medicare and unemployment.  Otherwise you might have to set up a custom tone.
